Tsuro - The Game of the Path App Reviews

This game is a lot of fun!

My friends and family already have fun with the physical board game. This game is as much fun on the go. The rules are very simple.

Awesome!!! But no online?!

Awesome game! Just wish there was a server to play random people with maybe a chat feature. None of my Facebook friends have it and will probably be willing to pay for it... I would like to play with randoms who did pay for it.

Tsuro to go!

Couldnt be happier when I saw Tsuro had a mobile edition. Love the game.

Great game, glitchy multiplayer

Love the game and the multiplayer option when it actually works. Had a terrible time getting it to connect with my friends initially and continue to have problems occasionally with staying connected. When it works, its great.

Good board game sim

The fifth star goes because of Facebook only for online play. I get why the dev did this (cost issues for a small dev), but I dont like da Facebook. Game it self is great and worth the money. Maybe later for online play...non Facebook

The Stars & emoji say it all. This game is brilliant & not to be missed!!

This is a great implementation of an entertaining game

My wife played this board game for the first time last week with some of her friends. She told me about it, and was very interested in playing again soon. I was delighted to find an app version of the game.

Fun but needs Game Center

I really single player but it would be fun to play with friends.

Beautiful game

The board and pieces are beautifully rendered. Fun game. Easy to learn but definitely some strategy there.

Excellent

This app made me buy the board game again. The app is excellent and made me want to play its analog counterpart.

Great game, great app

I loved the original board game, and the app is a lot of fun. Only thing I wish is the ability to play games with friends.

Good, but...

This is a beautiful game. It is a perfect digital replica of the original board game. However, there are two things I dislike. First, the intro takes too long. Get rid of the Thunderbox animation. I dont want to wait for, what is essentially, an advertisement to play a game I purchased. Second, and more importantly, if my stone is on the far end of the board, without the ability to move the board (not just tilt it (which is even still difficult)), I have a very hard time seeing where to place my tile. I would add the ability to rotate the board. Finally, what does "less animation" do? I havent noticed anything.

Very fun!

Ive been enjoying playing against the computer. Looking forward to playing against my friends.

Beautiful fun

Beautiful gameplay and graphics. Ill pile on about the Thunderbox intro animation (show it to me once, first time I play? That would be fine), and the in-game animation is a little much but it keeps the pace controlled and maintains the zen theme, so Im cool with it. Makes the game relaxing, which is a pleasant change. A fun, beautiful game, well executed. Great value IMO. (Full disclosure: game author is a personal friend)

Great board game 4 family too

Excellent rendition. I never heard of the game before but I liked this version so well I just ordered the board version for family play.

Good but needs AI opponents

Im enjoying the game but I do not have any friends with it. So an A.I. system would be a welcome addition.

Rare game

This is one of those rare games that I can understand easily, plays quickly, and yet can be very deep. Nice looking too.

I knew I would love this game...

...as soon as I saw the board. What a nice change of pace from my addiction to candy crush. The zen music is calming and perfect. I usually turn off game music, but not with Tsuro. Pay attention to the hints before you turn them off. There are several modes of playing: last player on board, most loops, longest path. You can play with 1 to 3 AI players by dragging stones to the squares marked Silly, Clever and Tricky. By dragging additional stones to the board you can use the cool pass n play feature. You can name the players and have them take selfies for easy identification. If you add friends in Game Center all you can do at this time is issue challenges: Master Loopers or Path Builders. Youll want Facebook friends to actually play. I read some are complaining about that and yes it takes a few extra steps but you can find friends for the game. Tsuro Friends on Facebook was started to help players connect. Yes there are some limitations and some things I hope are addressed in future releases like not being able to switch away from solo play to make a move with an opponent and allowing the board to switch between a 3D and 2D view but I have faith the developers will nurture their creation. Spend more than 5 minutes exploring Tsuro and you will find "the game of the path" worthy.

Good, almost great implementation

Having never played Tsuro before, I was really looking forward to trying this one out. Playing Solo - which is what I mostly do with games on my iPad - the implementation is quite good. There are 3 levels of AI and a number of achievements to go after. Include the single player goal of seeing how long a single track you can make, is a great brain-puzzle time waster. The Facebook implementation for multiplayer takes away 1 star. Normally, I wouldnt take away a star for this as I dont play online often. But after getting GameCenter friend requests from complete strangers, asking me to friend them on Facebook too, I became a little annoyed. I do hope this is altered in the future. Another star is removed because in a multiplayer game against the AI, you are automatically the starting player. It would be much better in an 2-8 player game to have the option to randomize which player goes first. That said, the App is still worth the expense. Its a great implementation, and Im glad I picked it up.

Sweet Implementation

I love this as a board game and I like it just as much on iOS. Great electronic implementation.
